My name is Helena Haddox and I am a ceramic artist currently based in Austin, Texas. I recently received my BFA in Ceramics with a minor in Art History from the University of North Texas. I began making ceramic jewelry during the summer before my final year of college, which started off as a fun break from making functional ware, and turned my art into a business!

I have always found my strength in simplicity; my designs are informed by bold colors and clean, minimal shapes. After the initial design phase, colored stains are wedged into balls of clay, rolled into slabs, and individually hand cut in a variety of shapes. Once the pieces dry over the period of a few days, they are sponged and sanded. The jewelry is then sent in to the kiln to fire for approximately a day and a half. After the firing, the pieces are inspected. Posts and backings are then attached with an epoxy, packaged, and ready for delivery!

I do occasionally take commissions, so don’t hesitate to reach out by email - or fill out the form on the Contact page.
